Antarctica Ski Mountaineering
Few people have the opportunity to discover this part of our planet – even fewer to ski mountaineer there. This is your chance.
Outstanding scenery, wildlife, skiing and companionship…… This trip is for fit, experienced ski mountaineers comfortable skiing all snow types and slopes to 30°. Axes and crampons will be needed and several nights will be spent snow camping.
We shall be sailing on Xplore, a fully equipped southern ocean going yacht. There are only 6 skiers with myself and Gary Kuehn guiding. Two places left. No sailing experience is necessary though you will expected to help sail the boat under the supervision of skipper Stephen, his crew and the experienced sailors in the team.
The length, commitment and remoteness of this trip require participants to be mentally prepared and to have a strong team spirit.
